Best practice when naming a product bundle

What is a best practice in Product Bundle naming?

Ensure that your bundles and product names are clearly identifiable and won’t be confused.

When the maker creates a new order they will be presented with a list of products to choose from followed by the product bundles to choose from.

Instinctively users may choose the first products they see that fits their needs. If they are creating an order for both an orange juice bundle and a grape juice bundle and they see “orange juice” and “grape juice” then they can likely choose those items, even though they are the products and not the bundle - we saw this in practice early on and renamed the maker’s product and bundle to make it clear.

Best practice: when you are creating a bundle of an individual product, name the bundle distinctly and then consider updating the individual product's name so it is evident that it is not the bundle.

Good practice

Beverage product name = Grape Juice - single bottle

Bundle name = Grape Juice - bundle of 6

Bad practice

Beverage product name = Grape Juice (the maker may want a bundle and may choose this as they see it first)

Bundle name = Grape Juice Bundle
