How to Manage Price Groups?
In this article, we will guide you through creating price groups, adding or removing customers from these groups, and understanding how price groups affect your webshops and order creation process on the Bemakers platform.
Let's get started
- Go to Customers.
- In the Customers section, select Price Groups.
- Click on the Create Price Group button.
- Fill in the price group information:
- Name - provide a clear and descriptive name for the price group to ensure other users can easily identify its purpose.
- Description - write a brief explanation of the price group, including its purpose and the types of customers covers.
- Base discount on - choose whether the discount should be applied to the wholesale or retail product price. The base price will appear as the original price of the product, and customers will see their discounted price based on the selected option and discount provided.
- Discount - Enter the discount percentage (1-100%) that members of this price group will receive.
- Add customers - Select the B2B customers who should be included in this price group
- Click on the Create Price Group button to finalize and save your new price group.
Once created, the price group will be listed among your active price groups, showing the date of the last edit and the creator's name. For all business customers included in the group, the system will automatically apply the discounted price during order creation. Customers ordering through the brandstore will also see the discounted prices for all available products.

Price Group Impact During Order Creation
When you create an order manually on the Bemakers platform and add products for a customer who is part of a price group, the system will suggest the default product price based on the price group settings for that customer.
- Retail-Based Price Group: If the price group is based on retail prices, the retail price will be used as the default price.
- Wholesale-Based Price Group: If the price group is based on wholesale prices, the wholesale price will be used as the default price.
In the Add Product to Order card, you’ll see the price group name and the discount applied due to the price group settings. You can still manually adjust the product price and discount if needed during the order placement process.
Note: Price groups will only affect B2B customers; B2C customers cannot be added to price groups.
How B2B Customers See Prices on Webshops
When a B2B customer logs into their account on your B2B webshop, they will see product prices that already reflect the discount based on the price group they belong to.
- Wholesale-Based Price Group: If the customer’s price group is based on the wholesale price, the original product price displayed will be the wholesale price.
- Retail-Based Price Group: If the customer’s price group is based on the retail price, the original product price displayed will be the retail price.
Customers can also view the normal price of the product, allowing them to see the benefit of the price group discount.
Attention: If you choose to use the retail price for a business customer, ensure that all products in all markets have a retail price listed. If any product lacks a retail price, it will not be displayed on the webshop. The same applies to wholesale prices—if a product lacks a wholesale price, it will also not be displayed. This is crucial to maintain visibility of all products for your customers.
