Automatically direct visitors to the right pages based on location
The Global Webshop URL is a link that ensures that the visitors are sent to the correct page based on the visitor's geographical location. As an example, if you want to promote a product that is available on multiple webshops (across countries) the global link ensures that the traffic that comes from Danish IPs goes to the Danish webshop.
You can use the link to promote specific products as well as bundles and extras.
In this article, we will cover how to activate and use both the standard Global Webshop URL and the SKU-based Global Webshop URL.
Let's get started!
Using the Standard Global Webshop URL
- Go to Products
- Depending on the 'page' that you want to get the Global Webshop URL select Beverage, Bundle, or Extra
Once you find the product that you would like to get the Global Webshop URL for, click on it.
Scroll the page to the Webshop section.
You can get an overview of the page that the Global URL is linking to as well as a list of the webshops it will send traffic to.
It is important to note that if a market is missing in Active in list, it means that the product has not yet been added to that particular market's webshop, or it has been added but is still in the draft. In either case, customers from that market will be redirected to the "Home" page of the webshop instead of the product page.
Using the SKU-Based URL
In addition to the standard Global Webshop URL, you can also use a SKU-based URL to link directly to a product. This method is particularly useful if you want to link every product from your own webshop to the Bemakers webshops.
Each product has a specific SKU-based URL in the format:
https://{your-Bemakers-domain}/global/product_by_sku/{SKU}
Replace {your-Bemakers-domain}
with your specific domain with Bemakers and {SKU}
with the actual SKU of your product.
Use the SKU-based URL on your webshop to send your international customers to your Bemakers webshop product pages.
