How to Use the "Ready to Pack" Tab to Pack Orders Efficiently
This article explains the Ready to Pack tab, a dedicated space where all confirmed orders are displayed for faster and easier packing. It allows you to quickly find orders that need to be packed, mark them as packed once they are ready, and download the necessary shipping documents.
Let's get started!
1. Viewing Orders in Compact or Expanded View
You can choose how the orders are displayed on the Ready to pack tab:
- Compact View: Shows a quick overview of orders, including order number, customer, delivery method, and status.
- Expanded View: Provides detailed information on each order, such as item and quantities, and quick access to order documents.
You can switch between these views using the Compact / Expanded toggle at the top right of the tab.
2. Downloading Order Documents
Before packing, you might need to download necessary documents such as invoices or shipping labels. The Ready to Pack tab allows you to do this either for a single order or for multiple orders in bulk.
Downloading for a Single Order
Each order has document links available next to it, allowing you to download:
- Shipping Label - includes only shipping labels.
- Invoice and other documents - includes invoice and other documents generated for the order if needed, such as eAD, proforma invoice and does not include the shipping label.
- Invoices (and other documents) + shipping labels combined - includes invoice and other documents generated for the order if needed, such as eAD, proforma invoice and shipping label.
Simply click on the relevant link to download the document you need for the order.
Downloading for Multiple Orders (Bulk Download)
-
Select multiple orders by clicking the checkboxes next to them.
-
Click the "Download Documents" button at the top.
-
A modal window will appear where you can choose:
- Shipping Label
- Invoice and other documents
- Invoices (and oher documents) + shipping labels combined
-
Choose how the files should be formatted:
- Single combined PDF (all selected documents combined in one pdf file).
- Single combined PDF prepared for double-sided printing (all selected documents are combined in one pdf file, automatically inserted blank pages where necessary to ensure proper formatting for double-sided printing).
- Individual PDFs as a ZIP file (each document as an individual file archived in a ZIP file)
- Click Download, and your documents will be generated based on the selected preferences.
3. Marking Orders as Packed
Once the order is packed, you can mark it as packed. Your options here are:
- Individually – Click the "Mark as Packed" button next to each order.
- In Bulk – Select multiple orders and click "Mark as Packed" at the top.
Marking an order as packed removes it from the "Ready to Pack" tab, ensuring only orders that still need packing are visible.
