How to Create a Campaign and How Discounts Are Applied?
With Bemakers' campaign creation tool, you can create promotional campaigns tailored to specific products, customer groups, and markets. This guide walks you through how to set up a campaign and how it will influence what your customers see and pay.
Let's get started!
Creating a Campaign
Login as Maker
Go to Campaigns
Click on the Create campaign button
Choose Your Campaign Type:
Percent off: Apply a percentage discount (e.g., 10% off).
Amount off: Provide a fixed value discount (e.g., €5 off).
“5 + 1”: A quantity-based promotion (e.g., buy 6, get 1 for free).
Volume discount: Discount tiers based on purchase volume.
Enter the Campaign ID field where you can name or reference your campaign internally. Customers will not see this ID.
Define Your Offer: This section controls which products, customers, and countries are eligible.
Product
Any product: Discount applies to all products.
Select product(s): Limit the campaign to specific SKUs.
Customer
Any customer: All customers benefit.
Customers in price group(s): Apply the discount to all customers belonging to selected price groups:
Consumer

Select country (or countries): Limit the discount to selected markets.
For Amount off campaigns, you can only select one country because the discount must be defined in that country’s currency. To include multiple countries, you’ll need to create a separate campaign for each.

End date and time (optional): When the campaign should end.
You can also check “This campaign doesn’t expire” to run it indefinitely.
Finalise the Campaign:
Click Activate campaign to launch it immediately.
Or click Save as draft to store the setup for later review or editing.
How Multiple Campaigns Work:
If multiple campaigns apply to the same customer and product, all of them will apply.
If two campaigns of the same type exist (e.g., 5 + 1 and 12 + 1), both will apply as long as the conditions are fulfilled.
If the total discounts from the campaign(s) cover the full order price, the customer will pay €0.
How Campaigns Affect Customers
Once activated:
Eligible customers will automatically see the discounted prices applied to their checkout view, as well as the connected campaign name offering the discount.
Ineligible customers (those outside the defined customer, country, or product conditions) will not see or receive any discounts.
For example:
If you create a campaign offering 20% off for customers in Germany buying Product A, only those customers will see the reduced price. Others will see the original pricing.
How Multiple Campaigns Work Together
If multiple campaigns are created for the same product and customer, only the campaign that gives the best deal will be applied at checkout. The system automatically compares all valid campaigns based on the quantity added and applies the one that results in the lowest price for the customer.
For example, if both a 5% discount and a “5 + 1” campaign are active for the same product:
If the customer adds 2 items, only the 5% discount will apply, as the “5 + 1” condition isn’t met.
If the customer adds 7 items, both campaigns become valid — but the system will calculate which one gives the better price and apply only that one.
The same rule applies even if two campaigns are of the same type (e.g., “5 + 1” and “12 + 1”): the system will apply only the one with the greater value to the customer, based on how many items are in the cart.
💡 The customer will never receive multiple overlapping discounts for the same product. The system ensures that only the best possible offer is applied.
How Campaigns affect manual order creation
When creating an order manually (e.g., from the Admin panel or Maker interface), active campaigns that apply to the selected product and customer will be automatically evaluated and shown in the product pop-up.
When you add a product to the order, the system will check if there are any campaigns that apply to the combination of:
The selected product
The selected customer
The selected country (if specified in the campaign rules)
You will only see the campaign that will be applied — and it will always be the one that gives the customer the lowest possible price based on the entered quantity.
You can also click “Set custom price & discount” if you want to override the calculated price for that line manually. But then you will lose the campaign
This ensures that:
Campaigns behave the same way whether the order is placed manually or by the customer on a webshop.
Discounts remain transparent to the person placing the order.
